| Hi, I'm Bill Wallace.
Welcome to Wallace Volkswagen, part of the Wallace Automotive Group. Over 60 years ago the Wallace family of dealerships were founded by my Grandfather. However, that store was closed by the advent of World War II. The auto industry, along with the rest of the country, was focused on war production there were not cars being built or sold. When my father, Earl Wallace, returned from the war he went to work for the local Ford dealership in Delray, Florida. In the 1950's, he purchased the dealership and Wallace Ford was established.
Back then I worked for my father in all aspects of the dealership from washing cars to selling them. The growth of the Delray market exploded and the success of our company grew with it. The Wallace reputation for quality and service was established and the company grew rapidly.
Over the years several franchise lines were added to the company. Such franchises as Lincoln-Mercury, Nissan, Dodge and Subaru. In the 90's the trend for car dealerships was toward large auto groups and we consolidated with AutoNation.
While our stores were still successful, the relationship was not the right fit for us, so in 2000 we moved up to the Treasure Coast and started over with Wallace Lincoln Mercury in Stuart. Several years and acquisitions later and the Wallace Automotive Group was formed. Now with the addition of the new Wallace Volkswagen of Stuart, our family of dealerships is up to 10. Included in that are Wallace Volkswagen, Nissan, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Mazda, Hyundai, Cadillac, Jeep, and Suzuki.
When visiting any of the Wallace stores it is my goal that you experience the same care and service that my Grandfather established all those years ago. I am committed to maintaining that standard. I would much rather lose a sale and keep a friend, then make a sale and have a customer leave with a bad experience.
