The retro styled 2015 Volkswagen Beetle and Beetle Convertible are unique among the modern and more conventionally shaped cars on the road. If you are in the market for a classic looking but thoroughly modern compact German car, visit Wallace Volkswagen in Stuart, FL and take a new Volkswagen Beetle for a test drive. We're easy to get to from Port St. Lucie, Palm City, White City, and Jupiter, FL.
The New Volkswagen Beetle VW gives you three choices of motor and four transmissions in the 2015 Beetle. The base power plant is a 1.8-liter turbo 4-cylinder with 170hp. Move up to the sporty R-line for a 2.0-liter turbo I4 with 210hp, or the TDI for a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel with more torque than the R-line. Base 1.8T powered cars can choose from a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, while R-line and TDI Beetle models choose from a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Of course, the TDI is the fuel economy winner, with 34 mpg combined in EPA tests, but the 1.8T still does well with 28 mpg combined.
2015 Beetle Trims and Options
The 2015 VW Beetle coupe and convertible come in 4 basic trim levels, with several option packages. The base model is the 1.8T with standard features like 17" alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, Car-Net Telematics, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, CD player, iPod/auxiliary plug, and all the expected power features. The 1.8T Classic is a special edition with cloth upholstery in a retro pattern, traditionally styled wheels and trim, and modern touches like navigation, satellite radio, and a touchscreen interface. The R-Line 2.0T is equipped like the base model, but includes the more powerful motor, sportier suspension, 18" wheels, sport seats, and other sporty details. The TDI substitutes the turbo-diesel motor and also gets proximity entry, dual-zone climate control, and the touchscreen and satellite radio from the Beetle Classic.
Option packages for the 1.8T start with the Sunroof package (called the Tech Package on convertible models) which adds a sunroof, proximity entry, a rearview camera, satellite radio, and a touchscreen display. The R-line bundles that equipment with a Fender premium audio system and calls it the Sunroof & Sound Package (Sound Package on the Beetle convertible). The Sunroof, Sound & Navigation (Sound & Navigation on convertible models) Package on all three trims adds a GPS navigation system to the equipment from the other packages combined, plus upsized wheels, and other features which vary by model. There are also 1.8T and TDI Premium models that have all those items standard, plus xenon HID headlights, leather seats, R-line exterior trim, and 18" (TDI) or 19" (1.8T) wheels.
